I have attended many art classes in England and France over the years.
One day I came across mixed media techniques and collage and they resonated with me straight away.
Since then, this new passion allowed me to create pictures in a complete intuitive and free manner.
Like shapes appearing in the clouds, I was guided by the colours and textures on the canvas. Pictures were taking form in a very unpredictable way. A whole family of characters was born.
Then I decided to try these techniques with a more structured approach with still lives and nudes.

The first book is a must for any collage artist. It is packed with collage techniques and tips and is beautifully illustrated.
The lastest book L'art du collage dans tous ses états is now (2009)available through Artcolle and describes the way collage artists came to do collage and what inspired them .
My collage titled African Queen appears on this 3rd book and I explain what triggered my enthusiasm on having sticky fingers and being obsessed by bits of paper !
