12/12 Abstract drawing series created with expressive and experimental mark-making in mind. Upon reflection, l believe each work is a subliminal echo of the rural imagery l encounter along one of my favourite local walks.

A selection of the Echo Location series was exhibited in a group show (‘Unknown Observer’), and was curated by Sotheby’s Institute at The Cookhouse Gallery, London in 2021.

Masima (he/him), is a multi-disciplinary fine artist from the UK. He holds a BA (Hons) in Fine & Applied Art with Digital Media and an MA in Fine Art. Masima graduated from Chelsea College of Art in 2022.

Masima's practice utilises the act of walking in nature as a means of exploring literal and conceptual landscapes; inspiring and informing his output.

He frequently favours a process of deconstruction/reconstruction as a device for work and idea generation; removing and adding components to investigate interesting relationships. Masima's work's often appear abstract or ambiguous, emerging via experimentation and exploration into their final appearance. What materialises takes shape as drawings, sculptures and imagined digital scenarios that occasionally depict underlying narratives related to his interest in sociopolitics and philosophy.

His portfolio displayed, includes a selection of experimental drawings in various mediums.
