Martial Rossignol is an artist photographer born in 1958, living and working in Arras, France. Since 1995, he has devoted his artistic work to photography. His recent photographic works highlight the portrait, the staging of the self, identity and fiction.

Martial's photographs offer an exploratory panorama of the staging of the self, with playful, ironic and social perspectives. Mainly produced in the studio, his photographs are at the crossroads of photography and painting. He works with translucent screens on which he adds paint, water splashes and powdered pigments, using a graphic gesture and a specific search for textures. The effects are actually created at the time of shooting.

Each snapshot captured by Martial Rossignol is an invitation to explore the construction of identity and the relationship between reality and fiction. His photographs reveal a subtle play between the observer and the observed, offering multiple perspectives and stimulating the viewer's imagination.
