The protagonist of this painting is a red macaw parrot from a zoo in Tenerife. He looks at the viewer with his blue eyes and shows all the beauty of his red and blue feathers full of reflections and shades of color. It is on a tree branch and in the background the green nature and blue sky of the Canaries.
