Originele kunstwerken zijn elk werk dat als authentiek wordt beschouwd en geen kopie of imitatie van het originele werk van een kunstenaar. Simonova Margarita's sculpture, "The Spirit", is not a simple, idealized portrait. Rather, it is a personification of the beautiful, sublime, and spiritual principle that resides within each of us. The artist draws inspiration from Christian iconography, particularly the image of the angel.
The figure's hairstyle is reminiscent of a modest halo, while the draping at the back resembles wings. The ribbons refer us to the angelic images by Theophanes the Greek, one of the leading late Byzantine painters of murals, icons, and miniatures. However, Margarita refrains from providing a definitive interpretation of her creation. In addition to an angel, one might interpretate her sculpture as a muse, a genius, or simply an inspired individual.
Inspiration was also gained from sculptural portraits from the Renaissance, such as those by Francesco Laurana. His manner partly is also characterised by the contrast between the filled shape of the face and body, and the carefully arranged, detailed strands of hair. Through "The Spirit," the artist seeks to contribute to the development of classic art, combining the traditions of medieval Orthodox icons and secular art of the Renaissance.

2015-2019 MGAKHU Academic College in memory of 1905 with honors and praise at the Faculty of Sculpture, where they laid all the foundations of painting. Since 2019 at the Academic University of MGAKHI Surikov, Faculty of Sculpture.

Due to my education, I am an academic sculptor, but I am equally proficient in sculpture and drawing, as well as academic painting, which is not typical for a professional sculptor. Being at the junction of two academic artistic directions and owning each of them, I see the world around me differently.

Thanks to my academic education, I work from nature: whether it's running clouds in the North of Russia, cute pets, urban landscapes, rains or sunsets. I go with paints and sketchbook to the North, to the virgin corners of Russia, I catch the character of a friendly and very playful dog, I go to another country, and everywhere I write or sculpt my impression of what I saw. I always rely in my work on a living, genuine perception when there is no "glass" between me and the world, when I can feel the depicted moment of life not only with my eyes and hands, but also with my whole body, with my whole mind and soul. I paint large paintings and sculptures from my "live" sketches.
