It was the anniversary of my grandma’s death this spring. A whole year since Covid-19 suddenly and cruelly took her away from us. I have struggled so much to accept it. I cried myself to sleep and hated everyone who got to be alive. «Why did grandma had to go?» - I thought. «And why did she have to die in spring when everything is blooming so painfully[...]
It was the anniversary of my grandma’s death this spring. A whole year since Covid-19 suddenly and cruelly took her away from us. I have struggled so much to accept it. I cried myself to sleep and hated everyone who got to be alive. «Why did grandma had to go?» - I thought. «And why did she have to die in spring when everything is blooming so painfully beautifully?»
I wanted to create an artwork worthy of her memory. But I didn’t want to paint on canvas or paper. I wanted to paint on a mirror. By some strange coincidence the next day the neighbors threw out an old mirror. It was dirty and scratched and perfect. I carried it to my place, cleaned it up and created «Spring and death».

M. Mystery Artist est né en 1997, en Biélorussie. Depuis son plus jeune âge, M. a vécu

dans de nombreux pays, dont la Géorgie, le Kirghizistan, le Kazakhstan et la Hongrie.

M. a toujours eu besoin de s'exprimer.

Pendant son enfance, M. a réalisé des pièces de théâtre amusantes à la maison avec ses frères et sœurs.

L'adolescence de M a été consacrée à l'écriture de scénarios et à la réalisation de courts métrages. Suite à sa passion pour le cinéma, M. a obtenu une licence au Royaume-Uni.

Lorsque la pandémie a frappé le monde, M. travaillait comme libraire en Biélorussie. Un jour, M. décide d'arrêter et de devenir peintre. Finalement, c'était comme si M. avait trouvé sa voie.

En 2020, M. est retournée au Royaume-Uni et a poursuivi son voyage créatif.

Le travail de M. se trouve dans collections privées en Biélorussie, aux États-Unis d'Amérique, au Danemark, en Hongrie et au Royaume-Uni.
