There are summer days when there is something in the air. Something almost tangible. It blends the smells of blooming grasses, tangy lavender and tiger lilies, freshly cut grass, wind, and something elusive, slightly sweet and at the same time very pleasant. These days, out of the corner of your eye, you notice that all nature, with its bugs, spiders, snails, ladybugs, bunnies and everything that we cannot see but feel in some special way, pulsates with the desire to live.
I noticed this antique, terracotta-colored, two-legged vase, more like a bathtub, with amusing details of medieval gargoyle lions in Užutrakis Manor Park, standing a little away from the main paths and I wanted to paint it, filling it with a bouquet of bright multi-coloured flowers and a couple of bunnies in love. I filled the background with a splash of golden lettuce paint, bringing dynamics to this seemingly static composition and called "Something in the air".
Personally, I prefer to send oil paintings stretched on a frame, but over a long distance this can significantly increase the cost of shipping. Therefore, I suggest, at the request of the client, if the work allows (not all works can be removed from the stretcher and twisted), remove the canvas from the stretcher and send it rolled in a tube. This will save you a considerable amount of money. I can put parts of the stretcher in the same tube so that you can use them by giving them to the nearest salon for framing pictures. Please let me know if you are satisfied with my offer.

Natalie Levkovska is an experienced Lithuanian painter and illustrator. In 1995, she obtained a degree in stone, bone and wood processing from a master artist (Abramtsevo College of Applied Arts), and in 1999 she completed a degree in costume design (Vilnius Academy of Arts). She then became a costume designer for the cinema industry, and later a fur designer. In 2006, she decided to change her life: she moved to London to work in a design studio, and started to experiment oil painting.

She creates simple and poetic artworks, mixing surrealism and naive art. Her artistic universe is a kind of magic realism: she likes to show real life objects and try to bring out the magical pulsation of space. The plots of her creations are taken from her life: a birch glade near her house at different times of the year, the portrait of a loved one, her village in the snow...

Natalie Levkovska have organized 19 personal exhibitions, participated in a lot of paintings and drawings events, and her drawings can be found in many private collections.
