When I started to live in new city. I met new "friends", some of them asked to gift my drawing, twice I did it.
Bad mistake! In the first case, after couple weeks we met again with that woman. She said, "You are nobody, that I should paid for your artworks".
In the second case, I was in that house When my artwork "lived" I saw I lot of framed drawing on the walls, but mine was put as a rubish. I got to take my artwork away from her house immediately.

Leni Smoragdova is een zeer creatieve fotograaf en kunstenaar. Zij is de bedenker van de Transaction Art concepten. Aanvankelijk bedacht ze de slogan: "We zijn kinderen van oorlog; oorlog is geld; geld heeft geen gezicht; het is zo simpel als transactie; we zijn kinderen van transactie; we zijn kinderen met verborgen gezichten."

TransactionArt werd geboren in Londen; ze ontmoette een muze, de muze van de transactiekunst, en ze begon de gezichten van de mensen te verbergen in haar kunst, 'verborgen gezichten' genoemd. Destijds werd de "Cijferscollectie" uitgebracht.

Leni Smoragdova woont en werkt momenteel in Israël. Ze behaalde diploma's aan de Smolensk State University in Rusland en Central Saint Martins in het Verenigd Koninkrijk (Londen). Van 2010 tot 2012 werkte ze als artiest voor Madonna's show. Ze heeft haar werk internationaal geëxposeerd en wordt vertegenwoordigd door Hay Hills Gallery in Londen en de Shchukin Gallery in New York.
