La serie è un'evoluzione dei lavori precedenti "Clouds", qui la produzione pittorica su tela ha accolto sulla sua superficie il materiale cartaceo. I ritagli di giornale accuratamente selezionati entrano in contatto con la superficie materica e del pigmento. Nella creazione dell'opera i due elementi raccontano la propria identità mantenendo il proprio carattere ma scrivendo l'incontro, nel dove, quando e come avviene. La cornice l'unico limite al racconto immaginativo. Nel quadro si presenta una storia, voluta dall'artista, una situazione spazio temporale abitata da uno o più protagonisti. Ma questo vuole essere solo una delle storie possibili di questo quadro, l'osservatore può andare oltre e immaginarne sempre nuove.

Biografia
I currently live and work in Palermo. After studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, I perfected my technique and style by attending various courses. Among them are the International Superior Course of Visual Arts at Ratti Foundation, with teacher Anish Kapoor and Karel Appel; and The Globality and Expressions of Body Languages at Assisi Cittadella Center.
Over the years, I have participated in group and individual exhibitions, working with musicians and actors on the realization of performances in public and private contexts. My later production is characterized by various approaches, including painting and site-specific installations.
I am currently working on a painting and video sound sensory installation, my project focusing on the relationship between imagination and survival in the natural and human world.

Andata e ritorno (round trip her) is a multimedia narration and internalisation of the artist’s journey through grief. The video installation tells the story of a loss, that of one’s parents, and fully surrounds the body of the viewer at a synesthetic level. In front of the viewer’s eyes slide images of clouds passing by, registered by the artist while travelling to see her mother one last time. The clouds are projected onto a garment that belonged to the woman, still impregnated with her scent. On the sides are drawings of both parents and of clothes belonging to the artist’s father. On an auditory level, the viewer is subjected to various stimuli: heartbeats, airplane engines, a piece of music, cicadas, bells; each with its symbolic meaning. Viewers and their emotions are part of the narration, which is not confined to private grief: the artist’s personal sorrow is rather an invitation to a shared journey that rationalises loss and absence.
