Kim is a cross-disciplinary artist, currently working on themes that illustrate the inter-genre connections between languages, mathematics, multisensory installations, and visual culture. Also, in many of Kim's works, drawing inspiration from the narrative and symbolism of ancient mythology, the thematic core renders the artwork as a contemporary relic or monument—an embodiment of the new antiquity. The architectural configuration, characterized by vertical, sharply cut shapes reminiscent of lithologic pillars or colonnades, not only nods to the grandeur of ancient temples but also imparts a timeless quality to this modern composition.
