Beaucoup influencée par les couleurs en général, le métissage et les thèmes de Gauguin, je prends un réel plaisir à réinterpréter des peintures qui ont marqué mon enfance, comme à travailler le symbolisme chamanique, suivant l'inspiration et les périodes.
La première phase de mon travail pictural est celle du jeu en général où je choisis une collection de couleurs que je vais projeter sur la toile, rarement au pinceau, mais plutôt en peignant directement au tube, au rouleau ou à l'aide de différents supports. Après cette première phase vient celle du dessin, volontairement spontané et jaillissant. Les contours sont larges et épais, pour que les formes nouvelles des personnages naissants puissent s'affirmer sur la toile. Ensuite vient la phase de la mise en relief du thème par le choix de couleurs étudiées, généralement complémentaires ou plus complexes. C'est la touche finale.
