Ayant toujours été passionné par l'illustration d'une manière générale, j'ai décidé d'approfondir ma technique de dessin au profit de la peinture. En 2013, j'ai suivi des cours dans un atelier d'art, par un célèbre artiste de ma région et de renommée nationale et internationale. L'utilisation de mes œuvres sont essentiellement en acrylique, mais je n'ai pas abandonné pour autant mes créations au crayon et à la craie. Si l'on devait définir mon style, on pourrait le qualifier de figuratif et à tendance surréaliste pour certains sujets. Mais je ne me cantonne pas que dans un seul et même style et la raison est simple : l'amour de la diversité ! Avec toujours cette petite touche de rêverie et de personnalisation. L'idée de copier ou simplement m'inspirer de célèbres peintres, ne me convient pas car je n'ai pas cette prétention et que je souhaite aussi conserver mon propre style, ma patte... et si ça plait alors tant mieux ! Une célébrité de référence ? Oui bien sûr : DALI Mais en aucun cas je ne tenterai de l'imiter, sauf exception en 2014 lors d'un exercice qui consistait à inclure une pomme ou toute représentation qui pouvait s'en rapporter, dans une toile connue de tous. J'avais donc choisi "Rêve causé par le vol d'une abeille autour d'une grenade" en format 160X120cm, la plus grande toile jamais réalisée pour moi. Même si ce travail fut un cas isolé, ce ne fut pas moins pour autant une expérience très enrichissante ; c'était dans le cadre de la fête de la peinture au mois de juin de cette année-là. Pour mes créations, petits ou grands formats, là encore il n'y a pas de règle, tout se fait au feeling, selon l'envie et l'inspiration.
