Karine Andriasyan
Karine Andriasyan, born in 1967 and of Armenian descent, is an artist specializing in expressive, textural mixed media abstractions. Without formal art education, she began her artistic practice in her early forties and has since developed a distinctive approach characterized by the use of self-created collage materials, found objects, various artifacts, alongside oil and acrylic paints.
Her artistic evolution involved extensive experimentation and study of color theory, representational painting techniques, and media. This process led her to embrace improvisation and mixed media, moving beyond conventional visual language into abstraction. Karine’s art explores a synesthetic relationship between color and human emotion, capturing drama, harmony, energy, tranquility, introspection, and expressive intensity within her dynamic compositions.
