Kamo Aloyan

Armênia

Kamo Aloyan é um escultor armênio contemporâneo conhecido por suas obras intrincadas e profundamente significativas que frequentemente refletem a cultura e a história armênias. Nascido em Charentsavan, Armênia, a jornada artística de Aloyan começou em tenra idade. Ele frequentou a Charentsavan Secondary School No. 2 e simultaneamente estudou na Garzou Art School em sua cidade natal. Sua educação formal nas artes continuou no Terlemezyan State College of Fine Arts em Yerevan de 2012 a 2017, seguido por estudos avançados em escultura na State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia, onde estudou de 2017 a 2023.

O trabalho de Aloyan é particularmente reconhecido por sua significância cultural, com sua criação de khachkars (pedras em cruz) dedicadas ao Genocídio Armênio se destacando como um exemplo pungente de sua dedicação à herança armênia. Esses khachkars, feitos de tufo, são um poderoso tributo à memória do genocídio.

Ao longo de sua carreira, Aloyan recebeu vários prêmios, incluindo o Grande Prêmio no Festival "A Piece of Fire" por seus trabalhos "Phone Conversation", "Mountain Dance", "Conversation of Carpet Weavers" e "Photographer". Seu comprometimento com seu ofício levou a um reconhecimento significativo, incluindo duas exposições individuais em 2023 e 2024, onde ele exibiu suas esculturas distintas que ressoam tanto com profundidade cultural quanto com excelência artística.
