Julien Fargetton's work is at once sculptural, pictorial, performative and collaborative. He is interested in the expression of human reality: unstable, raw, unpredictable, but also powerful, evolving and energetic. Fargetton follows in the footsteps of an explorer, an inventor and an anthropologist, poetically and humorously expressing the opposite of determinism in the world around him. Inspired by self-construction, he creates, through practices of recycling and adapting materials, works that contain the processes by which we construct our identities.
