Juan Gabriel Sutachán is a Colombian designer and multimedia creation specialist from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia. For 10 years, he served as the international curator of the *Escher, Geometry, and Art* Exhibition, showcased at international events in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, United States, and South Korea.
I am a graphic artist deeply inspired by the work of MC Escher, exploring concepts such as symmetry, geometric transformation, and visual illusion. My creations evoke the essence of impossible worlds and infinite perspectives that characterize Escher, integrating mathematical elements and complex patterns. My work adapts to various formats, from paper illustrations to digital designs, and is ideal for applications in textile design, fashion, and accessories.
Through precise lines and fluid transitions, I seek to challenge perception and play with the boundaries of reality. Like Escher, I am drawn to the repetition of patterns, the metamorphosis between shapes, and the use of light and shadow to create depth within two-dimensional spaces. Each piece is an exercise in balance and composition, with figures and forms that intertwine and transform to create a visually hypnotic world.
