I also offer a very unique and special service! If you have a horse that is special, was special or dear to you and you have one of its horseshoes, I can put it on the wall plaque. Just pay for the mailing of it to me, no other charge.
For an extra charge, I can also have the horseshoes gold plated or engrave the horses name on the wood plaque. Makes a very special and unique one of a kind piece!
Of coarse horseshoes are considered lucky. Below, is the fable that explains why horseshoes are lucky.
Many, many years ago on a moonless and clear night, the Devil was making his rounds. The Devil was causing havoc in a small town when a lone rider came galloping past. The Devil stopped in his tracks and watched in awe at the hoofs of a passing horse as they sparked on the cobble stones. The Devil decided that he too wanted to spark like that!
The Devil went to one of the blacksmiths that was in his debt and commanded the blacksmith to fashion him some iron shoes. The blacksmith worked all night heating and pounding the shoes for the Devil's hoofs. The Devil was beside himself with delight.
When the shoes were ready, the blacksmith slapped the hot shoes onto the Devil's hoofs. Only one small problem, the Devil's hoofs were different from those of a horse, they were more like our feet and sensitive. The Devil tried his best to withstand the unbearable pain of the hot shoes. The blacksmith drove in the nails to hold the shoes in place; the Devil could take no more, he yelled, "take them off, take them off, take them off!"
The blacksmith jerked the shoes off. The Devil limbed away cussing, damning and shouting obscenities towards all the horses and blacksmiths on earth. It was all quiet and silent during the numerous days it took the Devil to recover from the ordeal. Things finally got back to normal.
Since that day, when the Devil sees a used horseshoe that has been pulled from a horses hoof, it reminds him of that terrible night and he steps quietly past and slips into the shadows.
