Jean-Pierre Burquier is firstly painter and graphic artist. He creates surrealist paintings since he was 20 years.
Following a chance meeting with an ostrich egg, he decided to move to 3D. Indeed, one of his friend opened near his workshop an ostrichs farm. The idea germinated then marry softness and roundness of the egg to metal's aggressiveness.
Indeed, his creations are composed of old tools and old technical parts and, of course, the famous egg.
Jean-Pierre Burquier strives to create original and aesthetic pieces, plus a touch of humor and playfulness.
