My 4th painting of Modigliani's Woman with Fan as seen in the James Bond Film Skyfall. The original painting was stolen from a Paris museum in May 2010 and has never been recovered, 2 years later it featured in the Bond film but this was a copy or a print and not the original Modigliani

Only two images of the original seem to exist one supposedly showing it when it was restored / cleaned and one before the cleaning. Both images differ markedly in colour and especially the detail in the face especially the eyes. So the true colours and technique can only be estimated when attempting an authentic reproduction.

Interestingly another painting of the subject Lunia Czechowska was sold at Christies auction house in 2019 and the colour reproduced on Christies web site probably show the true colours that Modigliani used when painting this female sitter.

In my work I have gone for colour and detail that combines both current available images so offers a 3rd version that will be interesting to compare.

Note there is no signature on the front..this can be added at the buyers request.

Painting will be sold with the frame in the second image and as seen in the room displays
