PROFILE

All my life and through raising my two beloved children as well as managing a successful career as a dental hygienist and dental office manager, I have nurtured the glow of a burning desire to create and publish extraordinarily beautiful works of art in several of it's many forms. Now with the whole hearted support of my family and closest friends my lifetime ambition of being able to touch the souls of strangers with my art and know the warm feeling of appreciation in return has finally become a reality with the creation of Eye Art Photography and it's alter - ego Website, eyeartphotography.com. My company and in particular my Website will be a platform from which I present the works of my heart and soul, whether they are photos, poetry, videos, paintings, music or other fine art media for public review. My fondest desire is to create a special, peaceful moment in your life when you feel what I felt and know the simple truth and beauty of being.


EDUCATION

Graduated 1973 Univ. of Puerto Rico
School of Medicine with Dental Major
R. DH. Degree in Dental Hygiene Sciences and a Liberal Arts Minor.

EXPERIENCE Wildlife / Nature Photographer, Artist, Part Time Freelance 1991-Present

Completed several self designed nature and wildlife photo expeditions in Colorado, Louisiana, Florida and Mexico, Belize, Puerto Rico as well as successful completion of several paintings and authoring numerous works of poetry and prose for later publication.
• Project: Develop and publish a complete and comprehensive Website, eyeartphotography.com, for the purpose of gaining exposure and acceptance in the art community through social networking and print sales.
 Scope: This ongoing effort involves constant updating to include current events in my artistic life as well as the constant changes and events in the fantastic world of fine art.
• Project: Art Gallery exposure.
 Scope: Meet with area art gallery curators/owners to review my portfolio and gain valuable insight and advice on how best to proceed with my new career in the world of fine art photography. Ultimately I’m hoping that through these meetings the gallery operators will perceive the value of my work and place actual examples of it on display.

1977-Present

• 1977: Commissioned to paint ancestral home of a private client in Louisiana, Successful completion and delivery in the Fall of that year.
• Recent: selected by the famed John Deering Estate for display and participation in the juried Spring Art Festival at the Estate, a major South Florida art event.
• Her photos have also appeared "en galerie" at the City of Coral Gables "Gallery Art Walk" and were held over for a repeat showing by popular demand .
• Late this Summer the magnificent photo
" Loving The Blue " was selected by jury for the annual Bombay Gin Sapphire Artisan Series award and recognition as a Statewide finalist and overall National semi-finalist . This selection singled out her work and that of some few 20 others from over 600 in-State art works and thousands nationwide.
• Ms. Ruiz's fine art photography has also appeared
in the following internet artist showcases, photographytalk.com dpchallenge.com , nature.org , artslant.com , smugmug.com , betterphoto.com , miamidadearts.org , miamiphoto.lifepics.com , fanartreview.com and worldphoto.org – not to mention current associations or memberships.

My name is Jacqueline Fitzgerald Ruiz, I was born November 20, 1954 in Niagara Falls, New York.
My father is of Irish decent and my mother is from Puerto Rico with her roots tracing back to Spain.
I have been offered the opportunity to live in many places around the world including Europe, where
where history and art dating back many centuries are on display on every corner and become your
surroundings in your daily life.
I am college educated and master both English and Spanish. I possess a limited understanding of Italian, Portuguese, and German.
Married in 1975 and have been blessed with a wonderful daughter and son.
Art has been a part of me since I have memory, it is part of my identity, my soul, my breath.
