Свети Игнатий Старозагорски е православен мъченик (свети преподобномъченик), син на Свети Георги Загорски (Старозагорски), роден през 18-ти век.[1]

По време на османската власт жаждата за книжовно знание е голяма, но все още няма български училища и много от хората са неграмотни. Бащата на Игнатий успява да се снабди с малка книжка от един пътуващ монах, но понеже не може да чете, я слага на иконостаса като икона на светец.

Игнатий учи в Пловдив, където се преселва неговото семейство. Манастирите и църквите са единствените места, в които се пази книжовността по това време. Младият Игнатий, роден Иван[2], бързо усвоява църковнославянската грамотност след което става монах в Рилския манастир при вуйчо си. Баща му по това време е убит от турци, защото отказва да промени вярата си. Турците насила потурчват съпругата му и двете му дъщери. Искат да потурчат и сина, но той навреме успява да избяга в Румъния. Животът във Влашко е много труден за един млад монах, затова той се завръща обратно в България. Установява се в Търново, но и там турци се опитват да го помохамеданчат. За да спаси живота си, Игнатий приема на думи исляма и веднага бяга в Света гора, където живее в скита на Иверския манастир „Свети Йоан Предтеча“. Там се отдава на строг монашески живот, но пред съвестта си, паметта на баща си и пред Христос се чувства недостоен. Затова взима решение да умре в името на християнската вяра.

Той се явява в съдилището в Цариград, захвърля чалмата на земята и се отрича от турската вяра. Осъден е на смърт чрез обесване, но е удушен жестоко на 8 октомври 1814 г. Тялото му е откупено от светогорския монах, който го придружавал до Цариград, и отнесено в Света Гора.[3][4]

Ivan Arabadzhiev – Painter, Writer and Reiki Master. Born in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
I have graduated from the Fine Arts Institute, Dupnitsa, Bulgaria in 1988.
I am a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists since 2001.
Since 2007 till now I have participated in Summer Academy “The Fire of Orpheus” as a teacher of master class in Fine Arts. The foundation “The Fire of Orpheus” includes people of Art who took the responsibility to develop the potential of young gifted people and to create opportunities for them.
Deputy-Chairman of “Art Club Heros” Non-profit Organization, created by Ivan Arabadzhiev and Kameliya Mircheva.

BOOKS
Since 2008 I have published 12 books. All of them are connected with my experience in the spiritual life.
I attend actively in the cultural life of my native town - Stara Zagora. The last event I organized was a discussion with subject – “The Sources of Might” under the name of one of my books, where it is explained how people can prepare themselves for work with the might (work with the personal might, strengths, powers) and how people can reach their own sources of might, strengths and powers.

REIKI
I have obtained reiki master degree – the highest degree in the traditional reiki, in 2001. I carried out reiki trainings and seminars in Bulgaria, France, Austria and Serbia. One of my books is devoted to reiki. I have written all of my books especially for my students/trainee and for those who want to be trained by me.
