L'artista belga Jan Keteleer (JanKé) si interessa sia all'arte classica che all'arte moderna e contemporanea e lavora con stili diversi. L'arte antica è uno dei suoi interessi, ma si possono trovare anche esempi del suo lavoro nella pop art e nell'impressionismo. Sfogliando il portfolio di Jan Keteleer, si possono trovare splendide scene di natura, immagini pittoriche di animali o nudi basati sulla pop art.
Dopo aver lavorato per anni nella fotografia commerciale, ha rivolto il suo interesse alla fotografia artistica in bianco e nero. Progetti come Speechless, Silent Dialogues e Roots with Taboo lo hanno reso famoso. Si è ispirato ai problemi della società multiculturale in Belgio, alla coesistenza di diversi gruppi nazionali ed etnici, alla questione della barriera linguistica e alla mancanza di dialogo tra i "vecchi" (la popolazione autoctona) e i "nuovi" belgi (gli immigrati).
Oggi si è dedicato interamente alla pittura digitale. Utilizzando tecniche classiche come l'acrilico e il pastello, crea singoli elementi che vengono poi riuniti e rifiniti digitalmente.
JanKé attribuisce grande importanza al significato sociale delle sue opere e le integra nel contesto degli spazi pubblici (stazioni, aeroporti e trasporti pubblici), spingendo lo spettatore a reagire e riflettere. I suoi progetti hanno ricevuto il sostegno dell'organizzazione Sprakeloos, che si propone di utilizzare l'arte per provocare discussioni su questioni sociali.
Ha tenuto numerose mostre in Belgio (ad Anversa, Bruges, Lier, Lovanio e Gand), negli Stati Uniti (a Dallas e San Francisco) e in Polonia (a Cracovia).
