Goian Dorin uses photography as a way to explore, investigate, and document the culture and people in the cities he lived in. He was born and raised in the former USSR in Moldova and studied economics at the Moldovan Academy of Economic Studies. In his works, Dorin expresses his creative vision of the world, and his senses towards the compositional elements of his images: the environment, the people and all the living beings. In 2006 Dorin traveled to Montreal, Canada, to take up photography and then onward to Ontario where he pursued photojournalism studies. In 2009, Dorin attended the Magnun Workshop at Contact Photo Festival in Toronto and in 2011 he was a selected participant at Noor Nikon Masterclass in Documentary Photography in Bucharest. Dorin has since returned to Moldova and is working on a long-term project about difficult economical situation of Moldova and its effects on it´s population. He is a citizen of Moldova and Canada and lives between Chisinau and Montreal.

Goian usa la fotografia come mezzo per esplorare, indagare e documentare la cultura e le persone nelle città in cui ha vissuto. È nato e cresciuto nell'ex URSS in Moldavia e ha studiato economia all'Accademia di studi economici della Moldavia. Nelle sue opere Dorin esprime la sua visione creativa del mondo, ei suoi sensi verso gli elementi compositivi delle sue immagini: l'ambiente, le persone e tutti gli esseri viventi. Nel 2006 Dorin si è recato a Montreal, in Canada, per dedicarsi alla fotografia e poi in Ontario, dove ha proseguito gli studi di fotogiornalismo. Nel 2009, Dorin ha partecipato al Magnun Workshop al Contact Photo Festival di Toronto e nel 2011 è stato selezionato come partecipante al Noor Nikon Masterclass in Documentary Photography a Bucarest. Da allora Dorin è tornata in Moldova e sta lavorando a un progetto a lungo termine sulla difficile situazione economica della Moldova e sui suoi effetti sulla sua popolazione. È cittadino della Moldavia e del Canada e vive tra Chisinau e Montreal.
