First, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and didn't eat too much turkey! Now that its over, we are heading rapidly to Christmas. I didn't know the color that I added to the stocking would go over as well as it has. Mirror Art Stocking have been requested a great deal for the last couple of months. I created the Stocking two years ago, and it didn't get much notice.

Thinking of my Daddy today, on what is his 69th birthday., and even though he's no longer here with me, as I create my Mirror art, each one is done with him always on my mind and how proud he would be to see his basic idea turned into something so unique. I'm often asked what Mirror Art is and how did I come up with the idea. Well, let me first say that anything can be created into the mirror. Okay, Mirror Art is my original designs hand etched into any mirror. I've recently began adding a bit of color via acrylic paints, along with bits and pieces from arts and crafts. The original idea came from my Dad who years ago gave me a large mirror with several large photos inside of it. At least thats how it appeared. What I later discovered was that Dad had scratched out the silver from the back of the mirror to make spaces for each photo, a very tedious and time consuming process that i could never duplicate as well as he did. My Dad died before he could show me how he accomplished the task, so I began to research a way to improve on my Dad's process. What could I do to add to his basic concept? God gave me the idea to use the sketches I painted from, some etching creme, and of course a mirror, Voila, Mirror Art. The rest as they say is history!

Each mirror is hand done. I personally design and sketch each work and etch it into the mirror. No mirror is to small or to large.
Customization is available upon request. Customization prices start at $100.00. Mirrors are usually shipped without a frame to keep down shipping cost. Framed mirrors can be shipped, but will cost more due to the weight of the frame.

An old adage says that if you want to be successful,you must follow your dreams. As a child, I've always enjoyed drawing in pencils and markers for my own pleasure. Later I made cards and pictures for other people. I always dreamed of painting, but never thought myself capable of creating that kind of beauty. With encouragement from my mother I began to create beautiful acrylic paintings. An idea from my dad sparked my mirror art line!
