The Trailblazer
Often, when we think of Jesus, the image that comes to mind is the lamb. When you think of a lamb you think of tenderness, gentleness, and I would add even submissiveness. While Jesus is the lamb of God, (who takes away the sins of the world, ) he is also the complete opposite of a lamb. He is the Lion of Judah.
“Then one of the elders said to me, ‘Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals’” (Revelation 5:5).
When looking at this verse, we see a reference to the Lion of the tribe of Judah points to the conquering, victorious king that would descend from Judah’s lineage. We know that this lion was pointing to only one person, Jesus himself, God in human form, who is the lion of the tribe of Judah. This truth is important because it fulfills the promise and prophecy of God’s word. It also gives us hope and confidence in this one who will ultimately be our deliverer. (The Symbol for God’s promises is the Almond Blossom – see below)
One thing we know for sure about Jesus is the fact that He is Lord. Because he is Lord, everyone will eventually praise him as Lord. It doesn’t matter if a person believes this or not. At some point, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess this fact to be true. When you recognize this now you can willingly bow and acknowledge him as Lord of all, and most importantly Lord of your life.
Ultimately Jesus will destroy all his enemies, even Satan who knows he is on borrowed time because his defeat is imminent. The Kingdom of the Lion of Judah will reign forever. The good part about being on his side is that you will win in the end, regardless of how challenging life gets and regardless of the struggles or persecutions you may experience in this life. It is so important to recognize that as long as you are on Jesus’ side, you will win at the end. Because he will rule for all eternity, and you are part of his kingdom. So, don’t be discouraged South-Africa, no matter how bad it may feel or get, Your Lion is coming soon and he will reign forever.

Yeshua has won the Victory and can break the 7 seals. He overcame death - no longer the lamb, today the Victor. He is the King of Kings. He is Majesty.
He demands us to overcome - to be victorious.
Rev 2:7b;: To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

He has blazed the path for us to be victorious.
Joel 3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
Jer 20:11 But Adonai is with me like a dreadful warrior. Therefore my persecutors will stumble and will not prevail. Since they are not insightful and not wise, they will be utterly shamed—an everlasting disgrace, never to be forgotten.
Psl 76:6-7 “When Jacob’s God roared his rebuke, soldiers and their steeds all fell to the ground, stunned and lying still. No wonder you are greatly feared. You are the awe inspired God.”
The priests of the Lord are valiant men of might, our hearts is as the heart of a lion.
Deut 3:18 “ And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God has given you this land to possess it; ye shall pass armed before your brethren, the sons of Israel, all that are valiant.”
The Lord is with us!
1Sam 16:18 “Then one of the servants answered and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem, that is cunning in playing and a mighty valiant man and a man of war and prudent in speech and handsome, and the LORD is with him.”
We are blessed – we are a weapon in our King’s hand.
Psa 45:2-5 “ Thou art fairer than the sons of men, grace is poured into thy lips; therefore God has blessed thee for ever.Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most valiant, with thy glory and thy majesty. And in thy majesty be prospered; ride upon the word of truth and of humility and of righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. Thine arrows, by which the peoples fall under thee, penetrate the heart of the enemies of the king.”
Matt 11:12 “From the days of John the Baptist until now, life is given unto the kingdom of the heavens, and the valiant take hold of it.”
Heb11:34”... quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, recovered from infirmities, were made valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of foreign enemies;”
We run with the power of Our King, the Lion of Judah!
Pro 30:30 “The lion which is strongest among beasts and does not turn away for any;”
Isa 5:29 “..their roaring shall be like a lion: they shall roar like young lions; they shall gnash their teeth and lay hold of the prey and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.”
Hos 11:10 “They shall walk after the LORD; he shall roar like a lion; when he shall roar, then the sons shall come trembling from the west.”

The Almond Blossom
Jer. 1:11-12 “… What do you see, Jeremiah? And I answer: I see an almond branch. Then the Lord said to me: You have seen well because I am awake about my word to fulfill it."
God himself answers Jeremiah here and explains what the almond stands for. The almond is the emblem of God's promises, His Word that will come true because God himself keeps watch over his word.
