Ihor Tormin

Ihor Tormin (sometimes spelled Igor Tormin) is a Ukrainian artist born in 1960 in the city of Kharkiv. He graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts in 1984 and began his career as an artist in the 1980s, during the Soviet era.

Tormin is known for his surrealist and fantastical paintings, which often depict dreamlike landscapes and creatures. He has exhibited his work in galleries and museums throughout Ukraine and internationally, including in France, Germany, Italy, and the United States.

In addition to his painting, Tormin has also worked as a graphic designer and illustrator, and has created illustrations for books and magazines.

Throughout his career, Tormin has received numerous awards and honors for his art, including the prestigious Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine in 2019. He continues to create and exhibit his work today, and is considered one of Ukraine's most prominent contemporary artists.
