After a long study of Eastern and Western models of philosophy, Palij passionately invents his own unique technique and manner, uniting East and West into a clear scheme of universal laws of the universe.
This technique has become Palij's uniquely known manner of visual communication with the viewer. In his paintings, he adheres to the genesis of color, for example from blue to orange and to the harmony that is created between them. This sequence is the quintessential “here and now” moment.
Igor Palij skillfully uses abstraction as a way of gaining concentration from a particular moment in time and the story developing in that moment in his uniquely Western European Hamletian rationalism.
Despite the fact that the artist's manner gravitates towards abstract expressionism, like Willem de Kooning or Gerhard Richter. The forms painted in the space of the painting, organically merged with its geometry, their bodies deformed under the influence of the laws of painting and the laws of the universe.
The artist's canvases are bright, dynamic, filled with emotions and deep meaning. At first glance, it may seem that they are written in an emotional impulse, but Paliy approaches his work very seriously and is rightfully considered one of the most competent and technically most accurate artists of modern Ukraine.

Ihor Paliy is a world-famous Ukrainian artist. He was born in Drohobych (Ukraine) in 1963. Specializes in abstractionism, a combination of abstract art and realism; technique of execution - painting with oil paints on canvas; main directions: abstractionism, a combination of geometric shapes and realistic figures, which mostly carry symbolic meaning.
The first solo exhibition of the artist took place in 1993 in Lviv (Ukraine), the following year Igor Paliy held his first solo exhibition in Budapest (Hungary). During the last years the artist has been actively exhibiting his works in galleries in the USA. To date, Igor Paliy has held more than 15 exhibitions around the world, his paintings are in private collections in Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Germany, France and the United States.

Игорь Палий — известный украинский художник с мировым именем, участник международных выставок и фаворит государственных и частных коллекций. Родился в Дрогобыче 10 мая 1963 года в семье художников. Бабушка Игоря, Иванна Нижник-Винников, была лично знакома с Пикассо, который позволил ей работать в своей парижской мастерской. Дедушка, Юрий Кульчицкий, был знаковым художником сначала в Украине, а затем во Франции.
Судьба художника оказалась не менее динамичной, чем судьба его семьи. Получив профессию архитектора во Львове, ограниченном советской цензурой, Игорь отправился на Дальний Восток в поисках возможностей для развития себя как свободного художника. Оказавшись на Сахалине, Палий погрузился в мир китайской и японской философии, которые впоследствии прослеживаются практически во всех его работах.
В 90-х годах, после падения железного занавеса, Игорь возвращается в Украину. Здесь начинается кардинально новый этап его творчества. После длительного исследования восточной и западной философии художник изобретает свою уникальную технику и манеру живописи. Картины художника яркие, динамичные, наполненные эмоциями и глубоким смыслом. На первый взгляд может показаться, что картины написаны в эмоциональном порыве, но Палий подходит к работе очень взвешенно и по праву считается одним из самых компетентных и технически точных художников современной Украины.
Живопись Игоря Палия оставляет ощущение легкой иронии и интриги. В ней преобладают такие желанные для современного зрителя, переполненного жизненными проблемами, позитивные интонации. Легкая яркая мозаика, преимущественно открытых и насыщенных цветов в его работах, навевает импрессионистические ассоциации. Палий формирует собственную художественную систему. Используя свои специальные средства, запускающие визуальное восприятие, он способен формировать композицию абсолютно новым способом. Личная стилистика художника помогает выявить и обозначить античные, библейские сюжеты и композиции Ренессанса, которые можно наблюдать с разных точек зрения. Именно в этом кроется основная, неповторимая привлекательность его произведений и их растущая популярность в Украине и за ее пределами.
