THE ELEPHANT AND TORTOISE

In the ancient times
There was moment the king needs a sacrifice to situate peace, wealth and prosperity in the town but the ultimate price was a very big one, so big that it seems almost impossible to get cause that’s the elephant. The king made a promise to the whole populace that anyone that brings the elephant alive shall be blessed with 50% of the kings wealth and the beautiful princess shall be bestowed on him
After tortoise heard this he went unto the king and strategized
He said to the king to tell the town crier to announce that the king is dead
Upon doing this, tortoise went into the Forest and told the elephant that the king is dead and it’s time for elephants to come home and become the king
After days of persuading elephant agreed to follow him to the town meanwhile before tortoise left he dug a very huge pit and dressed it with mat and he has arranged a group of drummers who would drum and sing for elephant till he get to the trap as elephant got to the town everyone started singing 🎶 we shall enthrone the elephant ewekuewele we shall enthrone the elephant ewekuewele as the elephan…………….story to be continued

With my art I'm promoting the Yoruba's story, folktales, and the gods stories. I work on canvas, rice paper, cardboards, mosaic, acrylic, pen, ink, brush, oil colors and lot more
