Hugues Boucry
Thought precedes action, inspiration precedes breath.
Based in Paris and the surrounding area since 1969, I am no less attracted to the countryside because I am deeply in love with nature, an admiring observer from a very young age of all the wonders it can offer us, be it with a magnifying glass, binoculars or without glasses...
I started the portrait very young, armed with a pencil, charcoal and especially my eraser, because without all the mistakes made, many things would have escaped me. I started to paint and color around the age of 20 with the wise advice of the obligation, to begin with, to use only the 3 primary colors. Over time, I increasingly enjoyed mixing and associating them with other materials, exploring new techniques, experimenting with new processes, never forgetting the line, the breath and the gesture, whether perfect or awkward.

Cette serie de tableaux représente une palette infinie de situations et d’émotions transmises dans les visages et les corps. Ici, la représentation figurative s’estompe parfois pour laisser place à l’expérimentation des formes, des couleurs et des matières.
