命运系列开始于2022年初,是我对于西方经典雕塑的再次创作。我并非雕塑专业出身,也很少参与到创作和制作雕塑的过程中。但我学画多年,从初拾画笔便大量被训练用二维平面的画纸来写生三维空间中的石膏雕像。可以说,“画雕塑”已经成为了我所代表的的中国特色美术教育体制的一种条件反射性动作。当这种“动作”成为一种近乎本能的冲动时,对于一个已经脱离初学者阶段的艺术家来说是有着复杂的意义的,毕竟,当痛苦成为习惯,痛苦就变得不可或缺了。所以,我尝试着将这种冲动释放或者说疏引到一个更大的且可拓展的容器里(用艺术家的方式),这个容器便是:命运系列。The Destiny series started in early 2022, and it is my re-creation of western classic[...]

I am not a professional in sculpture, and I rarely participate in the process of creating and making sculptures. But I have been studying painting for many years. Since I first picked up a brush, I have been trained to use two-dimensional drawing paper to sketch plaster statues in three-dimensional space. It can be said that "painting and sculpture" has become a conditioned reflex action of the art education system with Chinese characteristics that I represent. When this "action" becomes an almost instinctive impulse, it has complicated meanings for an artist who has already left the beginner stage. After all, when pain becomes a habit, pain becomes indispensable. Therefore, I try to release or divert this impulse into a larger and expandable container (in an artist's way), and this container is: the Destiny series.
