National Normal School (merged into Rietveld Academy) and National Academy in Amsterdam

Disciplines:
Sculpture, (free and monumental) in bronze, brass, steel, stainless steel. natural stone and plastic
Work carried out, among others. in Amsterdam, Soest, Sneek, Ferwerd, Hallum and Leeuwarden. The character of the monumental work is organic/dynamic, non-figurative. The technology in metal is often comparable to self-supporting body construction. Later it was also used in smaller work, often figurative. At the turn of the century, sculpting was replaced by painting because the labor was too heavy...

Painting, (free) in the techniques: mixed technique on linen, mixed technique on paper, mixed technique on Japanese rice paper. Mostly portraits that were suggested with little, a lot of white background which provides transparency... "Less is More" applies here.
