Self-taught, I am not a fine artist, nor a commercial one. I like to describe myself as a personal artist; drawing inspiration from my own path so far and the experiences I have undergone.

Darkness gives way to light and it is the contrast of both that offers layers in life as well as my art.

The marriage of light and shade in my work varies - one sometimes dominates, other times they are perfectly balanced, but the blend is always conducive to my sentiment at the time of the piece.

Painting has offered me solace, warmth, love, joy and happiness as well as angst, sadness and moments of frustration. Feeling these emotions is what drives me to diarise through my paint brush and in turn, hopefully, connect with those who see each personally crafted canvas.
