Gloria Eberechukwu Mmaduako

Gloria is a Nigerian visual artist with a National Diploma in Fine and Applied Arts from the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu and a degree in Fine and Applied Arts from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. 

For her, art is a medium of self expression, self-realization, and fulfilment. It allows her to actualize and to give life to her ideas and creativity, constantly evolving with her work. her style is rooted in abstract painting, primarily using oil and acrylic on canvas. Her subjects of interest are diverse, reflecting her love for nature and human connections in our everyday life. The significant symbolism of leaves in her paintings is deeply rooted in nature's ability to shed the old and embrace the new. Just as leaves provide shade and give rise to new growth, life offers us opportunities for transformation and renewal. Leaves symbolize life, fertility, optimism, and boundless growth. Additionally, I explore African culture through depictions of Afro figures, fabrics, and native motifs. 

Through her art, she aims to evoke a sense of connectivity, renewal, oneness, revival, and boundless growth. She strives to inspire feelings of happiness, healing joy, peace, and beauty. With this goal in mind, she plans to continually refine her art and broaden her artistic spectrum.
