I am a Surrealist painter. I graduated from The School of Art Institute of Chicago, with a B.F.A (Painting and Drawing). My personal history as a painter has taken me from realism to abstract expressionism to my main interest today in surrealist ideas. Also my writings and poems are in surrealism path as well. .
I’m originally from Iran, also known as Persia, an ancient land where art and creativity is deeply ingrained in the culture of a people who have made a great mark on the history of mankind. Unfortunately the corruption of the current regime has largely stifled the creative voice, and artistic hands, of the people. But the artistic spirit and human creativity will surely emerge again, in my country and for all oppressed peoples.
our views of art may arise from various thoughts or emotions, but no matter how divergent our perceptions, we all are part of the reality of art. These variations are like different roads to the same center. We need to hear the one voice that emerges from all voices, so that we may find a better life together.
My art is to bring to life, unity and simplicity of human existence with a positive energy, in the world suffering from ignorance and challenges we inflect upon ourselves.
