Mande Ahmed

Contemporary painter based in Austria but originally from Uganda. He is best known for his colorful, joyful and moody cityscape paintings. As an artist, he is open to virtually all subject matter. Painting has been his passion ever since he was a child. At the moment he lives in Vienna, Austria. Mande‘s love for color portrays the spirit of his work and is expressed with an energy and creativity radiating from an almost indescribable place. Working on canvas, he employs a technique of sticking thick blocks of paint to the canvas when creating his pieces to give them an impressive texture. As you can see in his work. “As an artist, my work is designed to touch hearts and to reach out to the world. Inspiration for my work comes from the details and moments of everyday life.” Most of his work has been featured in exhibitions in Austria, USA, Sweden, Kenya and Uganda.
