In the heart of a vividly colored jungle, I stand amidst a Harmonious Encounter where nature and civilization playfully intertwine. The sun, a bright disc in a sky of alternating stripes, casts its cheerful light over this scene, blending the boundaries between the wild and the cultivated. The sky itself seems to mirror the balance of the jungle—vibrant and structured.

On one side, a lively dog, animated and joyous, moves through the dense foliage. His orange coat is a striking contrast to the deep greens of the leaves, his presence a reminder of the untamed spirit that resides in every corner of this lush paradise. Birds with feathers as bright as the day flutter above, adding to the symphony of colors.

Opposite him, a dog-man in a perfectly tailored striped suit and hat stands with a sense of calm. His round glasses reflect the sunlight, giving him an air of scholarly curiosity. He holds a cane, a symbol of both guidance and exploration, as he surveys the meeting of land and sea. Beside him, a smaller figure, also dressed in stripes, embodies a bridge between the worlds—one foot in the jungle, the other in the realm of human culture.

I am Garfield Pierre Tusset, a digital artist specializing in surrealism, naïve art, and psychedelic art. Born on August 17, 1988, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, my life took a transformative turn at the age of ten when I moved to Paraíba. This culturally rich and diverse region profoundly shaped my artistic perspective.

While I began as a self-taught artist, my formal education solidified my passion and refined my craft. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Fine Arts at the University of São Paulo and later completed a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. My work is deeply influenced by the surrealist movement, the simplicity and innocence of naïve art, and the vibrant expressiveness of psychedelic art.

Throughout my career, I have meticulously studied the techniques and styles of the great masters, while continuously exploring my own emotions and experiences. This has led to a distinctive style where anthropomorphic figures blend seamlessly with lush natural settings, creating vibrant, imaginative worlds.

My artwork celebrates innocence and creativity, inviting viewers into a universe of fantasy and beauty. I am always evolving as an artist, seeking new ways to express the magic of surrealism through a naïve and pure lens. My creations are a reflection of my artistic vision, blending craftsmanship, innovation, and deep conceptual exploration.
