Brain exo pump helmet (2018) Sculptuur door Igor Gadreaud (Gad the Brand)

Extrapolation futuriste d’une intervention chirurgicale subie par une amie souffrant d’Hydrocéphalie (excès de liquide céphalo-rachidien dans le cerveau). On lui a greffé sous la peau du crâne une pompe (réglable via un aimant) destinée à évacuer le trop plein de liquide. J’ai imaginé un casque qui aurait la même fonction avec la totalité du dispositif placé en externe (exo pompe).

Futuristic extrapolation of a surgical operation undergone by a friend suffering from Hydrocephalus (excess cerebrospinal fluid in the brain). A pump (adjustable via a magnet) was grafted under the skin of her skull to evacuate the excess fluid. I imagined a helmet which would have the same function with the whole device placed externally (exo pump).
