Fabrizio Villa has been a photographer for the major national and international newspapers for over 30 years. He specializes in aerial and reportage photography.
In 2004, the Italian Catholic Press Union awarded him first prize for a photograph published in the «Corriere della Sera», a dramatic icon of clandestine immigration in Sicily.
In 2011 she won the Maria Grazia Cutuli International Journalism Award.
He currently photographs for the Getty Images agency.
Many of his works have become exhibitions and books.
He writes about photography for Corriere della Sera and La Lettura where he edits the column “Scatti morbide”.
His photo “Chefs at the Opera”, the chefs at the Teatro Bellini in Catania, was selected by the New York Times as one of the most representative photos in the world of 2019.
