Aquarelle

L'aquarelle est une peinture dans laquelle la gomme arabique lie des pigments transparents laissant apparaître le support de la peinture. La gouache, de composition identique, est opaque. Une aquarelle est une peinture à l'eau sur papier. On parle rarement d'un tableau pour une œuvre peinte à l'aquarelle. Les peintures à l'aquarelle sont considérées comme un moyen unique de représenter de manière créative les rêves, les illusions, les émotions et les sentiments lumineux à l'aide de pigments solubles dans l'eau.
