Carl Jaunay es un escultor, diseñador y “reanimador de objetos” francés contemporáneo. Bajo este término poético se esconde una verdadera pasión: revivir objetos y materiales abandonados. Jaunay valora su historia y hace del reciclaje un Arte ofreciendo obras en metal, madera, vidrio y bronce. Reutiliza metal oxidado “a menudo histórico”, a veces adornado con remaches tipo Eiffel, pero también herramientas antiguas, para transformarlas en esculturas, iluminación y muebles.
Los dolores del tiempo se convierten entonces en una fuente de inspiración, contribuyendo a la singularidad de la pieza. El óxido se convierte en el callejón del artista, el metal se vuelve más ligero. Con creaciones atípicas, que permanecen y perduran, el artista revela la materia, sublima las pátinas que testimonian la huella del tiempo.
