Gilles Chambon es un pintor francés contemporáneo. Después de crear ciudades fantásticas en acuarela, pasó a la pintura al óleo, reinterpretando de manera excéntrica los temas de los pintores clásicos. Desde 2014, ha comenzado a practicar la pintura sincrónica, que consiste en un telescopio, en cada cuadro, de fragmentos tomados de la historia de la pintura y reinterpretados.
La imagen pintada todavía tiene un efecto mágico en Chambon. Su método creativo se centra en la investigación de las conexiones entre obras antiguas y contemporáneas, produciendo una nueva poesía a la que él se refiere como pintura sincrónica.
