Jean-Marie Gitard, alias Mr Strange, es un artista francés contemporáneo. Después de un enfoque bastante clásico como artista visual, Strange, inspirado en gran medida por el surrealismo, se alejó gradualmente de la pintura clásica para interesarse por las formas polimorfas, mezclando pintura y escultura. El artista maneja el surrealismo con cierto sorna, y propone una reflexión personal sobre el mundo, a veces poética, a veces cáustica pero siempre punzante.
Su evolución artística le lleva a apropiarse del medio digital y crear lo que él llama sus fotomanipulaciones. Hibridación, lógica del absurdo, subversión, son las puertas de entrada de elección del artista. Desde el nacimiento hasta la muerte, desde el individuo hasta la sociedad, él no perdona a nadie.
Las obras de Mr Strange están impresas en calidad Fine Art en papel Hanhemühle, lienzo o Alu Dibond (se entregan con certificado de autenticidad). Las obras se reproducen en 30 ejemplares para las serigrafías sobre papel y 10 ejemplares para las impresiones sobre lienzo y Alu Dibond. Todos están firmados y numerados a mano.
Algunas de sus obras originales están realizadas al óleo como resultado de una colaboración con Bruce Fan, un pintor amigo del artista que se esfuerza por reproducir las piezas con la mayor precisión posible.
