Ces photos issues de la série "Sublimations" prises un peu partout dans le monde, illustrent une envie, celle d'offrir une liberté totale aux couleurs, de s'éloigner de la réalité observable et de transcender les conventions.
Il s'agit de dépasser la réalité afin d'atteindre une vision ou la couleur domine de manière absolue. Au delà d'une simple retouche, Sublimations constitue une transfiguration impliquant une construction formelle où la composition, la lumière et la couleur occupent une place essentielle.
Guy Boulianne est une figure multidisciplinaire au Québec, connu principalement comme écrivain, poète, éditeur et chroniqueur indépendant. Né en 1962, il a débuté sa carrière artistique en 1983 avec la publication de son premier recueil de poésie intitulé “Avant-propos d’un prince fou”, suivi en 1987 par “La bataille des saints”. Il a été nommé au conseil d’administration du Regroupement des Auteurs-Éditeurs Autonomes (RAEA) en 1983.
Quelques réalisations de mes créations à partir d’organza de soie qui est une soie un peu raide que je peins, que je déchire pour en prélever les parties intéressantes, tout en gardant les fibres apparentes.
Je les colle ou les couds sur une cotonnade, qui est ensuite montée sur un châssis.

Influencée par des artistes comme Zao Wou-Ki, je cherche moins à représenter qu’à ressentir, en laissant la couleur, les textures et l’espace exprimer ce qui ne peut être dit.
Le bleu devient ici langage. Il évoque le souffle, l’espace, la mémoire, la paix intérieure. Certaines œuvres capturent un instant suspendu, d’autres une pulsation plus vive, mais toutes traduisent une recherche de beauté, de grâce et d’évasion.
Chaque toile est une invitation à ralentir, à ressentir, à se reconnecter — avec soi-même, avec la nature, avec le silence.

In terms of the content and concepts I’m looking at, I am exploring the notion of the ‘unfinished’ in the visual arts. There are works left incomplete and works using a non finito—intentionally unfinished— aesthetic that embraces the unresolved. Artists like Cézanne, and modern artists Jackson Pollock and Robert Rauschenberg, have taken the unfinished in entirely new directions, blurring the distinction between making and un-making, extending the boundaries of art, and inviting the viewers to make own interpretations. I would like to find my voice in this movement as well. Finally, I am inspired by the looser norms of what constitutes 'good' art. The art world has become more inclusive, which leaves room for a much wider variety. I don’t necessarily agree with or like everything out there, but I appreciate that there is room for it. This gives me the courage to deliver an unpolished, authentic expression of my inner self to an audience when I feel it’s ready.
