I like creating geometrical patterns through various mediums. I like them to be precise in terms of their shape and construction. Using threads and nails has been one of the many creative ways I could use to make geometrical shapes and have fun with them. Each nail is hammered individually and then I weave the threads through the nails one by one by hand until I get the desired shape and its placement onto the sculpture. Together these shapes create a beautiful complexity and the fine lines of threads mixing with each other create a beautiful, intricate pattern. Around 150 meters of thread is used in this artwork. The plywood in the background is painted with acrylic paints with palette knife.

Sumit Mehndiratta is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist from India. His works aren't restricted to one style or medium of work, they range from generic mediums such as canvas and paper to digital art, mixed media, wall sculptures and photography.
Describing his style the artist says that his main genre is nature and abstraction, which is prominent in most of the works. He loves abstraction and the fact that everyone perceives it differently, so it brings him pleasure to see how people relate to different shapes and colors, and interpret them differently.
