Matthias Schlindwein, born in 1978, travel and documentary photographer based in Germany with a focus on Asia.has been traveling to Southeast Asia for around one year to capture the expressive moments of this region with his camera.
He focuses mainly on everyday situations of ordinary people. When recording, he relies on digital technology, however, he prefers the finished image on baryta paper. For this he uses high-quality baryta papers from Ilford and Hahnemühle, which he processes with an Epson Stylus Pro 4880 and Epson UltraChrome K3. This is how he creates his expressive and long-lasting fine-art prints. Many of his works are limited to 16 pieces.
