Jaio Dos Anjos is a contemporary artist born in Angola in 1968 and a Portuguese citizen. Her passion for art has been a constant throughout her life. Although she attended art school in Porto, she was unable to complete her studies. Despite this, she participated in several smaller exhibitions in Portugal.
In 2004, Dos Anjos relocated to Kleinwalsertal, Austria, and has been living in Germany since 2007. Over the years, she has developed her artistic knowledge through reading, online resources, and hands-on experimentation.
Dos Anjos is particularly drawn to abstract painting, which allows her to unleash her imagination and embrace her creative freedom. She approaches her work without a fixed concept, engaging in a dialogue with the canvas. This process fosters a symbiotic relationship, evolving over time as she respects the emptiness of the canvas and allows her artistic expression to unfold.
