Photo quality is paramount

So far all my sales have gone well. The majority of my clients have used Artmajeur's invoicing system (but of course I am attaching to the package a mandatory invoice with SIRET number and a small piece of paper with return instructions if the work is not liked).

To verify an unknown customer I use a search engine to find validation of his address or any other information that could confirm his real existence. If there is not the slightest trace of the person and if the registration form on Artmajeur is recent, it is best to cancel a sale.

Administering my account is not time-consuming. The most "tedious" was at the beginning, the time to put a minimum of works to have a page that could arouse interest.

In the meantime, I mainly come to download a new work, delete what I no longer like, create discount coupons or to browse the pages of other Artmajeur members (there are very good artists on the site) .

Personally, I have a long experience of selling on the Internet and I know that the quality of the photos is essential. It is also advantageous to put additional photos such as the back of the work, details or a photo with a scenario.

What is somewhat lacking on Artmajeur is the “cloning” or “model” function for descriptive sheets. I have been on Artmajeur for many years. I would definitely recommend this site to my artist friends. Several have also opened an account on Armajeur.

Everything is happening on the internet these days. The Internet connects the world and makes it possible to see what is happening elsewhere. This is also true for the art market. It is essential these days to have access to a sales platform that is accessible internationally if you want to sell art. For some time now, I have been writing my files in French and English. I have clients all over Europe and elsewhere (Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, USA etc.).

I prefer to manage my sales personally, especially since the trusted third party can also reserve surprises.

My advice: To sell, don't forget that you must have a SIRET number and be registered with the Maison des Artistes from the first work sold (see the Maison des Artistes website).

Then if you want to be sure of not having any unpleasant surprises in terms of payment, I advise you to choose payment by bank transfer. It is the safest payment method. And beware especially if the Paypal address and the delivery address are not identical (ask the customer for more information on this subject). But Paypal remains a safe means of transaction that customers appreciate for its simplicity and speed.

Never forget: send the work only after receipt of payment.

And once again a little reminder: A very detailed description (with photos to illustrate everything) is essential to prevent disappointment on the part of the customer who is entitled to return his purchase for 14 days from the date of receipt (Loi Hamon ). And it is always necessary to send the object with a tracking number and against signature for works from a certain value.
