Beeple, a digital artist, and Madonna collaborated to create three NFTs depicting the pop icon as the mother of all creation.

The NFTs are 3D-rendered videos of Madonna titled Mother of Nature, Mother of Evolution, and Mother of Technology. She is giving birth to a tree in a lab in the first, butterflies in a dystopic, a crumbling city in the second, and mechanical centipedes in a lush garden in the third. Her vagina is finer drawn than her face or the rest of her body, which is almost comically distorted.

Beeple, a North Carolina-based graphic designer whose real name is Mike Winkelmann, is best known for his Everydays series, a collection of digital drawings he has created once a day since May 2007. The first 5,000 of those drawings were turned into the famous Everyday: The First 5,000 Days NFT, which sold for $69.3 million at a Christie's auction in 2021, catapulting the unknown artist to international fame.

The three works will be auctioned on the NFT SuperRare platform on May 11,  as part of a new collaboration for Beeple, who has previously collaborated with OpenSea and Christie's. Proceeds will benefit three charities: The Voices of Children Foundation, a charity for women and children in Ukraine, The City of Joy, a leadership program for women in the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Black Mama's Bail Out, which uses funds to bail out Black women and caregivers from the criminal justice system.

"I was excited to have the opportunity to share my vision of the world as a mother and an artist with Mike's own unique point of view when Mike and I decided to collaborate on this project a year ago," Madonna said in a press release. "I wanted to investigate the concept of creation, not only in terms of how a child enters the world through a woman's vagina but also in terms of how an artist gives birth to creativity."
