Biografia
Autodidatta da sempre appassionato alla pittura ha fortemente cercato in essa il mezzo per esprimersi. E’ nato a Nardò in provincia di Lecce nel 1947. Si è diplomato maestro di scuola all'Istituto Magistrale. Successivamente ha insegnato nelle scuole elementari. Nel 2004 ha iniziato a dipingere cercando un dialogo con un pubblico più vasto e da allora si è orientato sia nella tecnica, sia nell'uso del colore che nel contenuto espositivo verso un suo surreale, trovando in esso i modi per esternare ciò che gli era necessario. La sua ricerca, soprattutto nella fase iniziale, si è orientata verso una osservazione e rappresentazione di paesaggi inondati di luce in una dimensione vicina al surreale e alla metafisica. Ha proseguito poi nell’esplorazione di realtà fiabesche, irreali, cariche di colore e di immagini sottratte a piene mani al mondo della fiaba tanto vicina all’infanzia. Servendosi degli elementi in essa presenti, dei contenuti di ambienti legati ai profondi immaginari della fanciullezza vissuta ha raccontò sentimenti ed emozioni, ha cercato di presentare i contenuti del positivo, del bello, del buono, del non contaminato dalle ostilità che il vivere pone incessantemente ed inevitabilmente all’umana specie.
Ha partecipato a alcune manifestazioni e mostre collettive e personali.
