About the author
Vagan KHATCHATRIAN, en peinture ZAVEN, est né le 26 Juillet 1958 à Ereknador (République d'Arménie), principale cité de l'antique province du Vayotz Dzor.
Après avoir terminé ses études secondaires dans sa ville natale, il entre en 1973 à l'école supérieure des Beaux-Arts TERLEMEZIAN, qu'il quitte à l'issue d'un cursus de quatre années, ayant obtenu son diplôme en 1977.
En 1980, il entre à l'académie de Théologie d'Etchmiadzine, siège du Pontificat d'Arménie, où, tout en poursuivant ses études, il continue à peindre régulièrement.En 1983, il est chargé des décors du théâtre de la ville d'Etchmiadzine.En 1984, il réalise plusieurs fresques pour l'église des Sept Douleurs à Gumri (Arménie).
Depuis 1987, il demeure à Paris après avoir suivit les cours de l'Académie des Beaux-Arts et de l'école Boule.
